It’s been a truly successful year for Chicago rapper, Juice WRLD. At the top of year, the Chicago native rose to popularity after his song, “All Girls Are The Same”, rose to fame thanks to a push from the blog, Lyrical Lemonade. Shortly thereafter, Juice WRLD released a video for the single and began a serious push for his project, Goodbye & Good Riddance. The project immediately rose to number six on the Billboard 200 charts and was immediately followed by an EP called 999. Juice WRLD’s ultimate push came to his song, “Lucid Dreams”. Featured on both his first project and 999, “Lucid Dreams” rose to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and earned platinum status. Today, Juice WRLD released another banger than fans will add to their playlists.
“Wasted” is a four minute track that features the Chicago native doing what he does best, delivering a catchy hook and putting his emotions all over the best. On the hook, the 999 rapper chants, “Wasted, GTA love, b*tches wasted/Wasted, I’m on these drugs, I feel wasted/Wasted, get her off my mind when I’m wasted/Wasted, I waste all my time when I’m wasted.” Later on, Juice WRLD gets an assist from Philly’s own, Lil’ Uzi Vert. Uzi sings, “I love that girl and I do like her body. I don’t want the money.I just want the molly. That’s what she says when she looking to find me.”
The record, “Wasted”, is the first collaboration between the two, but it seems the two definitely have chemistry. With their similar sounds and somewhat similar fan bases, it would be interesting to see the two collaborate more in the future.
