The summer has definitely been run by Beyonce and her fan base. Last month, Queen B joined forces with her husband, Jay-Z, to release the first collaborative album, Everything Is Love. Yesterday, Global Citizen announced that Beyonce and Jay-Z would headline the Mandela 100 Festival in South Africa on December 2nd. Today, the Houston native continued her run of impeccable career moves with a clothing collaboration.
Earlier today, it was announced that the Pop superstar would be collaborating with Balmain to release clothing collection. Vogue reports that Beyonce and Balmain will be releasing outfits she wore on stage during her performance at Coachella this year. Popularly called Beychella, her performance featured some of Beyonce’s work including a segment revolving around an HBCU inspired by Beyonce. In honor of her inspiration, proceeds from the collection will go to the United Negro College Fund.
This announcement comes just months after the former Destiny Child singer gave $100,000 in scholarship funds to students at HBCUs across the country. To top it all off, Google’s philanthropic division pledged to match Beyonce’s scholarship contributions.
