Jon Stewart’s latest film, Irresistible, will bypass a traditional theatrical release and head straight to the video on demand market. The announcement was made earlier this week ahead of the film’s projected May 29th release.
Irresistible is the latest film to make this move. During the COVID-19 pandemic, films like SCOOB, The Lovebirds and Unhinged have bypassed theaters and headed for digital releases. Elsewhere, films like The Way Back, Bad Boys For Life and Queen & Slim have entered the video on demand market weeks earlier than expected after experiencing short theatrical runs.
Irresistible will join the growing video on demand market on June 26, 2020. It will be available for a rental price of $19.99 on YouTube, Apple Amazon and other streaming platforms. Check out the trailer above.
