
Kentucky Wildcats Head Coach John Calipari will be honored with the Jefferson Award on November 2nd according to the University of Kentucky. The Jefferson Award is for Outstanding Public Service in Sports by Multiplying Good. For over 50 years, the organization Multiplying Good has highlighted those who put others first for the public good. Calipari is the first men’s college basketball coach to be honored with the award. The Kentucky Head Coach has earned the award because of his many charitable good works as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats. He recently helped raise money and awareness for Kentucky flood victims.
Kentucky’s John Calipari will receive the Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service in Sports by Multiplying Good, per release.
Calipari’s is the first men’s college basketball coach to receive the award.

In a press release from the Kentucky Wildcats, John Calipari said the following about the honor he is set to receive: “I am humbled to be recognized in this way. As I look back at my career in basketball and serving the community, things like this will matter to me more than any other award or recognition.” The Hall of Fame Head Coach is set to receive the prestigious award on November 2nd.

Public service is a big part of being in a position of leadership and John Calipari has done exactly that as the Head Coach of the Kentucky Wildcats.
