Joël has released his latest single, “Woes.” His latest release is a more uptempo, harder hitting track that offers a contrast to his softer, soulful singles. Produced by Colin Munroe gives us a peak inside what we can expect on Grunge Gospel II.
“Baby, I’m the plug, so I can’t let ’em shoot/I’m a buss back instantly/I have no sympathy/This sh*t is real to me,” Joël sings.
“I’ve got a lot woes/Dancing with my bros,” he sings on the hook.
“Woes” is Joël’s first single since releasing “I’m really tryna hear you out but.” Released on Valentine’s Day, the song quickly caught the attention of the Joe Budden Podcast where it was featured in the show’s “Sleepers” segment.
“To be honest, the day that I found out was crazy. People slid in my DMs and told me Joe Budden just played your sh*t. I hit up my manager and showed him. I just decided to record it and pop it on there. It was crazy when I found out. It was surreal,” he told Def Pen.
