President Joe Biden is ready for his close-up! The President is set to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Wednesday. It is not unheard of for a President to appear on late-night television, but it is Biden’s first appearance on the show as commander-in-chief.
“Our very elected President Joe Biden visits Jimmy Kimmel Live [on] Wednesday night. No malarkey,” Kimmel tweeted.
President Joe Biden will visit Kimmel during his trip to Los Angeles, California this week. He and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, are scheduled to address the inaugural ceremony at the Summit of the Americas. The weeklong event is put together in hopes of bringing together some of the world’s political leaders and foster policy discussions. This year, the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and ways to boost economic growth are on the docket.
“We’re thrilled to host the Ninth Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles and to welcome leaders from across the Western Hemisphere here to focus on our shared goal to secure a sustainable, resilient, and equitable future for all our peoples,” Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti stated.
“The Summit will bring not only real benefits to our communities and local economy, but also result in temporary changes to traffic patterns in some parts of the City — and we want to make sure that Angelenos are aware of, and prepared for, these impacts on our streets, highways, and freeways.”
