CNN will air a Joe Biden led town hall regarding COVID-19 on Friday. CNN stated that the town hall will last one hour and “feature questions submitted by individuals living in some of the communities hit hardest by the coronavirus.”
Keeping with the social distancing guidelines, Biden will not appear in studio at CNN. Instead, he will lead the town hall from his home studio in Delaware. Meanwhile, Anderson Cooper will moderate the town hall from an unidentified location.
Recently, Biden has been critical of the White House’s response to the ongoing pandemic. During a recent trip to NBC’s Meet The Press, the former Vice President commented on the oval office’s handling of the virus.
“The coronavirus is not the president’s fault, but the slow response, the failure to get going right away, the inability to do the things that needed to be done quickly, they are things that they can’t continue,” he said.
“We’re going to go through another phase of this, and we have to be ahead of the curve, not behind the curve like we were the last time,” he added.
As of Monday morning, nearly 150,000 Americans had the virus and more than 2,100 had died from it.
