On November 20, 2023, President Joe Biden celebrated his 81st birthday. Surrounded by colleagues and family members, the President began his birthday pardoning Thanksgiving turkeys at the White House. While partaking in the annual event, the former Vice President joked about his age.
“I just want you to know it’s difficult turning 60. Difficult,” he said jokingly.
Hours later, the President continued to celebrate his birthday with a cake and private celebration in the nation’s capital.
“Thanks for the birthday well-wishes today, everyone. Turns out on your 146th birthday, you run out of space for candles,” a post from his Instagram account reads.
The President isn’t finished celebrating his birthday. On Tuesday, he and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will travel to Nantucket, Massachusetts. The couple will reportedly celebrate his 81st trip around the sun and the holiday weekend in the New England area as well before returning to the Oval Office.
