Jennifer Lopez is prepared to make a statement in 2024. Next year, the Bronx, New York native will release her ninth studio album — This Is Me…Now. Alongside the LP, the two-time Grammy-nominated act will partner with Amazon MGM Studios and Nuyorican Productions to release a Prime Video film inspired by the music from the forthcoming project. The visual arm of Lopez’s latest release will be “a narrative-driven, intimate, reflective, sexy, funny, fantastical musical and visual reimagining of [Lopez’s] publicly scrutinized love life.”
“Along with Director Dave Meyers, Lopez creates a genre-redefining immersive cinematic experience: an extravagant visual and sonic feast with impressive choreography, star-studded cameos, costumes, sets and blockbuster-worthy visuals,” a press release announcing the film reads.
“Although an astonishing vivid spectacle, the film is ultimately a heartfelt ode to JL’s journey of self-healing and everlasting belief in fairytale endings. Audiences will be captivated and leave hopeful that true love can be more than a dream.”
“Can’t Get Enough,” the first single from the album and film, will arrive on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. One month later, This Is Me…Now will hit streaming services on February 16, 2024. The project is set to feature contributions from Hit Boy, Tay Keith and several others.
