This will be Green’s eighth team since being drafted out of Georgetown in 2007. Green averaged 12.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists a night while shooting a solid 34.7 percent from three-point range during his one-year campaign in Washington.
The new Utah wing should slide nice in a reserve role, playing both forward positions. The defensive versatility, as well as still being able to contribute offensively, will be invaluable to a team looking to make a deep playoff run.
After trading for Mike Conley and now adding Jeff Green, the Jazz continues to surround Donvavon Mitchell and Rudy Gobert with playoff-tested talent. The Jazz hopes this will lead them to their first NBA finals appearance since 1998 where they lost to the Chicago Bulls in six games, giving us one of the more iconic moments of Michael Jordan’s career.
