Some duos are just etched into the history of Hip-Hop. DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith worked their way to the Grammy stage. Kanye West and Jay-Z have a unique relationship that has resulted in dozens of plaques over the years. Down south, Jeezy and DJ Drama have worked together on countless classic mixtapes like Thug Motivation 101 and Can’t Ban The Snowman. While the two have ventured off on their own paths recently, they have decided to reconnect and deliver a new record called “I Ain’t Gon Hold Ya.”
In the Jonny Raw-directed visual, Jeezy and DJ Drama transition from flexing in luxury cars outside of Magic City to a black-and-white set with beautiful women. From one set to the next, Jeezy floats over the triumphant production as he raps about all that he has accomplished over the years.
“I ain’t gon’ hold you/Everything I did, I done told you/Everything I said, I done showed you/Did this one for my day one n*ggas, say what you say, can’t say a n*gga ain’t growed you,” Jeezy raps.
“Name a n*gga colder?/Matter fact name a n*gga bolder?/Matter fact let me name a n*gga for you/Talking ’bout the B-I-G to the S-N-O/But you already know, I done told you.”
Jeezy’s “I Ain’t Gon Hold Ya” serves as the follow-up to DJ Drama’s “Forever” featuring Fabolous, Benny The Butcher, Jim Jones and Capella Grey. In addition to delivering his own work, DJ Drama has plans to deliver a Gangsta Grillz project with Icewear Vezzo.
