A day doesn’t go by that we don’t hear about another new artist coming out of the city of Chicago. In recent years, the city has produced stars like Chance The Rapper, G Herbo and Vic Mensa. Most recently, the city has championed musicians like Noname, Smino and Joey Purp. With a storied history and emerging new generation, it’s hard to not mention Chicago as one of the best cities for up and coming artists. Among the next generation of new artists is Jean Deaux. The Chicago based artist has made her name through collaborations with Isaiah Rashad, Mick Jenkins, Saba and Smino.
Tonight, the focus is on her solo career. Jean Deaux has dropped a new nine track project called Krash with features from Ravyn Lenae and Kari Faux. With production from Smino, Phoelix and ROMderful, the project has a smooth sound that compliments the young artists ability to transition from rapping to singing effortlessly. The project offers Jean Deaux’s first new solo music in some time.
