Purdue Boilermakers star guard Jaden Ivey has declared for the 2022 NBA Draft and will forgo his remaining college eligibility. He is widely considered a top-five draft pick and perhaps the best guard prospect heading into the 2022 NBA Draft. The sophomore guard’s final college game will be a loss to the Cinderella Saint Peter’s Peacocks in the Sweet 16. It is likely he is not the only Purdue player that will end up declaring for the 2022 NBA Draft.
Jaden Ivey off to the NBA.
Likely to go somewhere in the Top 5 of the draft come June. https://t.co/agp6gm8uhI

Jaden Ivey was stellar this year with Purdue in his sophomore season in the Big Ten. He averaged 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game for the Boilermakers this season. His points per game and assists per game were good enough for first on the team while his rebounds ranked him third on the team behind two talented big men. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 46 percent and a three-point percentage of 35.8 percent. It is hard to argue that Ivey wasn’t a top player in the Big Ten this season.

Jaden Ivey is in all likelihood a top-five pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, but that is just the beginning. In a few short months, he will have realized his dream and he will be playing basketball in the NBA. There is a good chance that no matter where he is selected he will be the first guard to hear his name called by Adam Silver on draft night. The hard work is about to pay off for the talented Purdue guard.
