Jack Harlow has certainly emerged as one of the brightest young stars in music this year. After building up momentum from his projects in 2018 and 2019, Harlow broke through in 2020 with the release of Sweet Action. The short project proved to be his best work with records like “Hey Big Head” and “I Wanna See Some” produced by Jetsonmade. Leading the way, the Louisville native broke out with “What’s Poppin” produced by Jetsonmade. The song shot up to number two on the charts and earned a remix with DaBaby, Tory Lanez and Lil’ Wayne.

In addition to having success within the studio, Harlow has used his passion for a bigger purpose. In a string of freestyles posted on Twitter and through XXL, the Louisville native has put the spotlight on the number of lives lost to police violence. Most notably, he has honored the lives of both Tony McDade and Breonna Taylor through his music. Both were killed this year by police in his hometown.
Extending his successful 2020 campaign, Harlow has taken his talents to the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards. Alongside the likes of Chloe X Halle, Lewis Capaldi, Tate McRae, Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker and Blackbear, he performed during the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show.
