J. Cole is the MVP and General Manager of one of the best teams in Hip-Hop. Last year, J.I.D said he wanted to take the next step and compete with T.D.E. Thus far, they’ve done just that. From their Revenge of the Dreamers III sessions to their music video output, Dreamville has undoubtedly taken a major step forward in 2019. One of the biggest moments of 2019 for Dreamville has been the release of J. Cole’s “Middle Child“.
Released following the Revenge of the Dreamers III sessions, J. Cole’s “Middle Child” has been a major success for the North Carolina native. It has become his highest charting single and served as the opening song for his epic 2019 NBA All-Star Game halftime performance. Not to mention, it produced one of the more talked about videos so far this year. Still, J. Cole’s latest single is earning him accolades.
Earlier today, J. Cole got word that his first single of the year had been certified platinum by the RIAA. This latest achievement marks the sixth time Cole has earned a platinum plaque as the lead artist on a single. This achievement also serves as great momentum leading into the Revenge of the Dreamers III release and Dreamville Festival next month.
