The coaching rumors all around the league are flooding in and a very probable one is former “Showtime” Laker Byron Scott possibly coaching the team he played for.
Scott has been in a lot of interviews recently, including one with the Lakers front office.
The interview went well… I think it’s the perfect fit… I am the perfect guy for this job.
Well… Safe to say he’s interested. Just up to the Lakers to offer him the job.
Kobe has has been adamant in wanting to have a say when picking a coach. But Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak is stiff arming him giving him nothing. Scott has publicly said that Kobe will have to change his game.
Now we all know Kobe. He goes for the kill every play. That is a big ask and I don’t think he can change, especially this late in his career!
With this friction now in play. Do we have another D’Antoni on our hands? Or will the Lakers swallow the pill, take the plunge and hope Kobe will co-operate…
