The team has more injured players like John Wall who is still rehabbing his Achilles, Troy Brown Jr is out with a calf strain, CJ Miles injured his foot during the summer and Isaiah Thomas needed surgery in his thumb.
Mahinmi, a 11-year veteran, has played for several teams like the San Antonio Spurs, the Dallas Mavericks and the Indiana Pacers before signing a 4-year and $64 Million deal in the summer of 2016, which is entering to the final year.
His time in Washington hasn’t been great as he spent most of the 2016-17 season and 2018-19 season injured and has played a backup role when he is healthy. With the Wizards Mahinmi averages 4.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per game.
