With the signing of Nick Young, Ian Clark’s chances of returning to Golden State grew slim. According to Logan Murdock of The Commercial Appeal, Clark was aware of this as well.
Although Clark represented the Warriors during the trophy presentation in Memphis, he acknowledges it’ll probably be his last time representing the team for the foreseeable future. With the team deep in the league’s luxury tax after re-signing much of their core in Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala, chances were slim that Clark would return.
“It’s part of the business,” Clark said of the deal. “No hard feelings either. Now just go out there and find the best deal possible.”
He was also recorded from the Boys & Girls club where he had a brief Q&A about his status with the team.

Clark is a capable guard who has looked even better in the Summer League being played in Las Vegas. A team could snatch him up for cheap where he can flourish in a back up position.
