Jarrett Jack was waived by the Brooklyn Nets right before free agency started. It was both a good and bad thing for the veteran point guard.
Jack being waived by the Nets is not a great sign, especially after suffering a season-ending injury. Still, Jack has a market in teams that need a veteran presence both on the bench and on the court. Jack is a no-nonsense type of player who jut wants to win. His new deal with the Atlanta Hawks, his hometown team, could be exactly what Jack was looking for.

Jack leaves a Nets team that is clearly in a rebuilding mode. The Nets don’t lose much in Jack after his departure.
