The year of 2018 will forever be known as the year of the Black Panther. Release in February, the Marvel film took the world by storm by breaking box office records domestically and abroad. In addition, the film’s soundtrack landed at the top of the Billboard charts. Not to mention, fans began showing up to the theater in traditional clothing from various African countries. Most recently, the film picked up nominations at the Golden Globes and the soundtrack picked up nominations at the Grammy’s.
Today, Black Panther picked up another accolade. Google has revealed that Black Panther is the most searched film of the year. The film topped other big Hollywood hits such as the Incredibles 2, Deadpool 2 and Avengers: Infinity War, which all finished in the top five. On the television side of things, Google named Roseanne, American Idol, Altered Carbon, The Haunting of Hill House and Lost In Space as the most searched television series of the year.
