Karnisovas recently emerged as the favorite to take the helm of the Bulls organization going forward, with the implications that brings for Forman now clear. Forman joined the Bulls in 1998 following the six NBA Championships worth of success enjoyed by the teams headed by Michael Jordan but has been unable to return to the championship in the years Forman was overseeing operations for the team.
Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf on Forman in statement: "He has been a trusted advisor and friend to me over the years, and on behalf of everyone I want to thank him for his commitment to the organization. Gar will always be a part of our Bulls family.”
