It’s been a week since Future released his latest project and it’s clear that it was a success. In its first week, Future moved a solid 126,000 units. By doing so, Future made history in the streaming era. As reported by Billboard, Future has become the first artist since Elton John to release six number one albums over the span of three years. Billboard writes, “Future [has] earned six No. 1 albums in just 3 years and 5 months. [It’s] the quickest accumulation of No. 1s since Elton John in the 1970’s. ”
Future responded to the news by writing, “Blessings.” He added, “Thanks for the love. Thanks for the hate. I hope your heart [is] in the right place!” Future will head out on tour in support of his latest studio album later this year.
