There are reports out there that Fred Hoiberg has come to an agreement to become Nebraska’s next basketball coach. This news comes while Tim Miles has yet to be let go by the school. Miles is currently coaching the team in the NIT.
According my people in Nebraska, the next head coach of the @Huskers basketball team will be Fred Hoiberg. This is firm and final.

Lars Anderson, who formerly worked for Bleacher Report is the first person to report this. It has been rumored since his firing from the Chicago Bulls that Hoiberg would ultimately land back in college basketball. He had great success at his alma mater Iowa State before turning the program over to Steve Prohm. Hoiberg returned the Cyclones to the days of Hilton Magic and made the program relevant in the Big 12 again.
Lars was the first to call Scott Frost as well.

Hoiberg if hired would join a great crop coaches in the Big Ten including two of the games top coaches in Tom Izzo and John Beilein. He would immediately jump near the top with those two in terms of best coaches in the conference.
Tim Miles was expected to get Nebraska basketball going but could only muster one tournament appearance in seven seasons. His lone appearance came in his second season.
