UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou is looking for ways to give back to his fans as he prepares to defend his title in the octagon this month. Earlier this week, Ngannou took to Twitter to announce that he has teamed up with Cash App to give away $300,000 in bitcoin.
“I believe bitcoin can empower people everywhere. So I’m excited to partner [with] Cash App ta take half [of] my UFC 270 purse in bitcoin. I want to make bitcoin more accessible to my fans, so I’m giving out $300,000 in bitcoin,” he tweeted.
While his fans reap the rewards of his latest business partnership, he will prepare to defend his title against interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Ciryl Gane. While Gane poses a tough test for the Cameroonian champion, he believes that it will be quick night’s work.
“My prediction is a knockout in two rounds,” he told reporters on Wednesday.
The two men will settle the score in the octagon on January 22, 2022 in Anaheim, California.
