On Monday, October 28, Bronx native Joseph “Fat Joe” Cartagena will perform at Yankee Stadium prior to the start of Game 3 of the 2024 World Series. The New York legend will perform a selection of his greatest hits, including “All The Way Up” featuring Remy Ma and his guest verse on “New York, New York” with Ja Rule and Jadakiss.
Fat Joe follows O’Shea “Ice Cube” Jackson Jr. as the latest artist to perform prior to the start of a World Series showdown. On Saturday, October 26, Ice Cube performed a pair of his classic tracks, including “It Was A Good Day” and “Bow Down,” prior to the start of Game 2 of the 2024 World Series.
“Both stars are lifelong fans of their hometown teams and are excited for the opportunity to get their fans ready for this year’s World Series matchup,” Major League Baseball (MLB) stated.
“The performances will take place following the national anthem each night and will be shown during Fox Sports’ exclusive pregame coverage.”
Fat Joe is not only performing at Yankee Stadium, but he’s also busy promoting his new show on Starz — Fat Joe Talks. The weekly interview series “gives every viewer the chance to be a fly on the wall to a conversation that I’m having amongst friends.” The show’s guest list includes Clifford “Method Man” Smith Jr., Mary J. Blige, U.S. Representative Hakeem Jeffries, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Alyssa “Latto” Stephens among others.
“This show is coming from a force of energy that’s always positive. It’s about turning a negative into a positive, and it’s all good. That’s what this show is all about. It’s all about inspiration. You meet people who started from nothing and became billionaires. It should motivate you,” Fat Joe told TV Insider.
“And it’s all about uplifting the culture.”
