Ellen DeGeneres will return to host The Ellen DeGeneres Show on September 18, 2020. This fall, DeGeneres will welcome Chris Rock, Kerry Washington, Alec Baldwin, Chrissy Teigen, Adam Sandler, Orlando Bloom and Amy Schumer as special guests. DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss will also serve as a guest host throughout the fall.
DeGeneres and company left the show’s studio back in March during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Weeks after departing the set, reports began to emerge regarding inappropriate and possibly criminal conduct that had allegedly occurred at the workplace. WarnerMedia launched an internal investigation into the accusations. There was also speculation that James Corden may replace DeGeneres at the NBC talk show.
When the show returns, reports suggest that DeGenres will not back away from the reports. In fact, she intends to address them on the show.
“I can’t wait to get back to work and back to our studio. And, yes, we’re gonna talk about it,” she said.
DeGeneres and company will end their layoff this September on NBC.
