It was reported earlier this year that a Breaking Bad movie was in development but, no production or release dates were hinted so most people expected it to be a least a year before we saw anything. Then, earlier this week, Bob Odenkirk shocked everyone when he revealed that the long-gestating project had already been filmed. However, most fans still expected not to see it until sometime in 2020. Netflix had other plans though.
On Saturday the streamer dropped a surprise teaser for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, revealing that the film drops in just over a month on October 11th. Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t tell us too much about the plot or cast (aka we still don’t know if Bryan Cranston will make an appearance or not.) What we do know is that Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman is still on the run after his escape from the Nazi compound at the end of the final season. The film picks up sometime thereafter and, considering the trailer’s point of view, will follow the detectives tasked with hunting Pinkman down.
