Last week, their were rumors floating around about The Rock and Kevin Hart being looked at to be apart of the upcoming Jumanji remake.Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has been considered as one of the top 100 influential people by TIME magazine, is by far one of the most hard working workers in entertainment, so these rumors didn’t sound too far-fetched. Although the reactions to the news were mixed, it looks like the positive outweighed the negative reactions, because The Rock has confirmed his involvement with the upcoming remake.
We’ll produce and deliver to a whole new generation a title that I love and is one of my all time favs: There’s games you play for fun… then there’s games that change your life. JUMANJI Working on edging up an already very good script with my @sevenbucksprod team. Up next is meeting with our producer Matt Tolmach and director Jake Kasdan. Shooting starts this fall. Promise to deliver something cool and special.. and not screw the whole damn thing up;).
While the script is receiving its final touch ups, there’s no word on if Rock will appear in the movie, but we won’t be surprised if he does. Along with the Jumanji news, Rocky added in a few others movies you can expect to see him within the next year: Central Intelligence, Rampage and Baywatch. Ballers, his HBO series will also be returning for its second season July 17.
