Actor, musician, producer and comedian Donald Glover has joined Andrew Yang’s presidential campaign as a creative consultant. The news comes shortly after the two collaborated on a pop-up event in Los Angeles earlier this week. During the event, supporters had the opportunity to get their hands on exclusive hats, shirts and poster.
A representative of Yang’s team stated, “The specialized merchandise embodies the core policies and values of Andrew Yang’s Humanity First platform and future collaborations are expected.”
Yang’s campaign manager, Zach Graumann stated, “Donald Glover is one of the most talented and forward thinking artists on the planet.”
Later, Yang tweeted, “Had a blast with Donald Glover today! Big thanks to everyone who came out in L.A.!”

Glover is not the first and certainly won’t be the last celebrity to get involved with the upcoming presidential race. Most recently, actor Kevin Costner openly shared his support of South Bend, Indiana mayor Pete Buttigieg. Other celebrities such as Killer Mike and Cardi B has openly shared their support of Senator Bernie Sanders.
Yang will take short break after launching this pop-up store and end his year with a end of the year celebration in New Hampshire on December 31st.
