After a successful run on FX in 2019, Dave “Lil’ Dicky” Burd is returning with the second season of his self-titled show. In the first trailer, Dave struggles with the pressures of fame as he makes his debut album. Along the way, he builds a new relationship with pop superstar Doja Cat and visits NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
“It’s more psychological and more emotional — but still totally a comedy,” Burd recently told Entertainment Weekly about the new season.
“There might be a little more darkness to season 2 than season 1. I hope we don’t peak season 2, but I definitely think season 2 is going to be a massive step forward in every sense of the phrase.”
Dave is set to return on June 16 with not one, but two new episodes. While we wait for the season premiere, check out the revealing new trailer below.
