It has only been a few weeks since Earl “DMX” Simmons passed away, but it feels like a lifetime. Since he passed, legendary comic Paul Mooney, John Davis of Milli Vanilli and Black Rob have all transition. Simply put, it has been a tough few weeks. In the midst of all this loss, DMX has managed to make his presence felt from beyond the grave. His voice is heard every week during EPIX’s Godfather of Harlem and Griselda dropped a new track feature the New York legend. Now, family and friends are rolling out the last album he worked on before his passing.
In his memory, DMX’s latest project, Exodus, has arrived. Fittingly, the legend’s latest project includes features from other timeless artists like Usher, Jay-Z, Nas, Snoop Dogg and Lil’ Wayne. He was also able to connect with younger artists like Moneybagg Yo and Benny The Butcher. Rounding out the release, his longtime friend, Swiz Beatz, added production to the release.
Exodus is his latest release in nearly a decade. Hopefully, there’s more left in the vault, so it won’t be his last. Check out the full album below.
