DJ Kay Slay is back with new music. His latest effort is called “I Do This On The Regular” featuring Louisiana’s own, Kevin Gates. The track delivers an upbeat, piano based instrumental that Gates handles by himself. Throughout the track, Gates addresses his most recent legal matters. Gates raps, “Half-a**ed lawyer wasn’t really sh*t/When the system did me out in Florida/I was innocent, they said I kicked a b*tch/Steady grabbin’ on me while performing/They took me from my only daughter/My sons really need a father.”
After releasing the track, DJ Kay Slay spoke highly of Gates. DJ Kay Slay stated, “Kevin Gates is one of the most loyal, down to earth artists I have come across in this business.” He later added, “The fact that I shared my platforms with him when he was coming up in the game is something he respects and he shows gratitude—and I show it back.”
The new track featuring Kevin Gates serves as the first single off of DJ Kay Slay’s upcoming album, Hip-Hop Frontline.
