DJ Drama had a pretty eventful weekend. Not only did he appear on Amazon’s Rotation series, but he also put together a set at the 2022 Dreamville Festival that featured Lil’ Wayne, T.I. and Jeezy. To top it all off, Call Me If You Get Lost was named the “Best Rap Album” at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.
DJ Drama continued his victory lap on Monday via Twitter Spaces. During a conversation with Elliott Wilson, he was asked which Gangsta Grillz project was the best of all-time. While his answer was not definitive, he did narrow down the conversation to two projects.
“Rappers pay attention to everything,” he told Wilson, according to HotNewHipHop.
“There have been a few times I’ve picked Dedication 2 over Trap or Die. Last night on stage during the set when Jeezy was outgoing, I said in front of him and to the crowd that Trap or Die is the best mixtape of all time.”
In recent years, DJ Drama has publicly leaned more toward Dedication 2. Last July, he told XXL that it was best Gangsta Grillz project of all-time. More recently, he named Dedication 2 as the best Gangsta Grillz project during an episode of Brackets with Brian “B.Dot” Miller. However, Miller disagreed, calling Trap or Die a “lock” to be named the best Gangsta Grillz project of all-time.
