The New Orleans Pelicans have acquired San Antonio Spurs Guard Josh Richardson in exchange for Devonte’ Graham and four second-round picks.
At 29 years old, Richardson is averaging 11.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per outing through 42 games. Richardson has also upped his field goal-shooting percentage from last season, but dropped to shooting 36% from three-point range.
Conversely, Graham has taken a step back during his second season with the Pelicans. For the first time in his career, he has not started in any game so far this season. Playing in 53 games this season, he has averaged a career-low 5.3 points, 2.2 assists and 1.4 rebounds per game.
Aside from adding Graham to the roster, the Spurs continue to build up their reserve of draft picks. In addition to picking up four second-round picks, San Antonio also received a protected first and two second-round picks for Jakob Poeltl.
