Though it has been some time since hurricane Harvey made landfall at Houston, people there still need plenty of help. Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson wanted to do his bit in helping those in need.
Watson gave his first game check to three women who work in the team cafeteria. These women lost, like many people, lost nearly everything in the flood. Anything, even just a little bit, can go a long way.

Earlier this month, Texans defensive end J.J. Watt closed his Harvey relief fund at $37 Million. Watt’s original goal was $200,000. People around the league, from owners to coaches and players, have given to the relief fund. Here, Watson was able to help people within the Texans organization.
Watson has impressed people with his on the field play. He played well against the New England Patriots and nearly came out with a win. In the end, they would fall short 36-33. Nevertheless, it was still a great showing for the young quarterback.
It is always nice to read a story like this every now and again. It shows that not all players are in it for themselves, but that they can and will use their massive paychecks to do some good. The Texans will host the Tennessee Titans this Sunday in a game that could later affect who goes to the playoffs.
