Three years after connecting in Los Angeles to shoot the “Psycho” video, Denzel Curry and slowthai have made their way to the forest for the “Zatoichi” video. Directed by Villagomez, the duo’s latest visual blends dream like sequences with a bright, euphoric colors for a visual that is both trippy and awe inducing. The work of Villagomez is paired with the duo’s newest single from Curry’s upcoming album, Melt My Eyez See Your Future. Floating through UK club production and echoing soundscapes, Curry finds his voice as he talks about the ills of the worlds and his desire to survive through it all.
“In a place where they keep feedin’ me lies, where my true demise/United once the powers combine, the world will be fine/Bulimic throwing up the peace sign, see we can all dine/Man, I ain’t woke I’m just sleep-deprived, I been sick and tired,” he raps.
“Zatoichi” is the latest single from Curry’s upcoming project is expected this spring. The project will include contributions from 6LACK, T-Pain, slowthai, Rico Nasty and more. Also, Boi-1da, Kenny Beats, Robert Glasper and more will offer production. To top it all off, the Florida native will kick off his world tour in April.
