Demi Lovato took a major step forward in her accomplished career as she performed the national anthem in Miami Gardens at Super Bowl LIV. However, it’s not something that she was unprepared for.
“One day, I’m gonna sing the national anthem at a super bowl. Onnnee dayyy….” she tweeted in 2010. Today, the time came for her to follow through and she did just that.
“Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light/What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?/Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,/O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming,” she sang.
In addition to performing the national anthem prior to tonight’s game, Lovato performed at Bud Light’s Super Bowl Fest with Dan + Shay. The GRAMMY winning duo brought out Lovato to perform their hit song, “Speechless.”
