
Distinguished actor Delroy Lindo is the latest addition to the highly-anticipate Blade film. The Hollywood Reporter reports that he is in “final negotiations” to star alongside Mahershala Ali in an unspecified role. Bassam Tariq of Mogul Mowgli is handling directing duties while Wathcmen‘s Stacy Osei-Kuffour writes the script. Collider reports that the Blade reboot will debut in October 2022, but Marvel hasn’t divulged all of the details regarding the film just yet.
Lindo is currently on an incredible run in the world of Hollywod. During the pandemic, he garnered Academy Award buzz for his role in Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods. More recently, he starred alongside Idris Elba, Regina King, Lakeith Stanfield and Jonathan Majors in Netflix’s The Harder They Fall. With early reviews, the film is expected to be an Academy Award contender as well.
As for Marvel, 2022 and 2023 promise to be exciting years. Last month, Marvel revealed that Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness will debut in May 2022, Thor: Love and Thunder will drop in July 2022 and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is expected in November 2022. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels are expected in 2023.
