DeAndre Jordan from the Los Angeles Clippers will be the newest member of the NBA family to join the Team USA basketball. The 2016 Rio Olympics roster for the United States is shaping out quite well given the star power, led by Stephen Curry, dropping out of this summer’s games.
Despite the number of big name stars to remove their name from consideration as of late, there are still a number of players who have said they want to play. Carmelo Anthony has decided to suit up in the red, white and blue, Jimmy Butler has accepted an invite and Kyle Lowry appears to be the starting point guard for Team USA this summer.
With Damian Lillard, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry and James Harden being some of the names to bow out of consideration, Team USA will need all the talent they can get.
While DeAndre Jordan does not have the most diverse skillset, he is an undoubtable talent and Team USA possibly has the best rim protector in the olympics. Andre Drummond has elected to drop out but that’s ok, Team USA has their defensive big man to offset DeMarcus Cousins offensive talents.

With sources saying that Detroit's Andre Drummond is NOT playing, Team USA needed another big man and is turning to the Clippers' Jordan.
