Kyle Lowry has been through one heck of a year since last summer. The Toronto Raptors guard was named an All-Star, he powered the Raptors to a number two seed in the Eastern Conference, being a driving force in their trip to the Eastern Conference Finals and he also hit a game-tying halfcourt shot in the playoffs, as a bonus.
Lowry’s great push into the prime of his career has caught a lot of attention from people. One person in particular was Los Angeles Clippers star guard Chris Paul. CP3 recently endorsed Lowry as a player that Team USA olympic committee should be heavily considering and now it appears that has worked out for Kyle.
Lowry has accepted an invite to join the Team USA 2016 Rio Olympics roster joining the likes of Paul George and some other stars slated to participate alongside him in Brazil.

Lowry might play in Canada but this is a good acquisition for Team USA. They get a point guard who will seemingly be their starter considering a number of point guards like Paul, Russell Westbrook and Stephen Curry have dropped out.
