Since arriving on the scene, Dave East has proven himself to be one of the best young lyricists the game has to offer. Of late, the New York rapper has stayed busy through the release of his solo project, Paranoia II, and his collaboration project with Vado, It’s Harlem. Along the way, Dave East has remained consistent in giving credit to his favorite rapper, Styles P. Listening to his projects, it’s easy to hear the influence of the legend on the Harlem emcee. As organically as possible, the two New York rappers teamed up and began working together. As time has gone on, it became evident that the two would eventually release an entire joint project.
Tonight, we finally received a full project from Dave East and Styles P. The two New York rappers came together on their new project, Beloved, to deliver thirteen new tracks featuring Dyce Payne, Jazzy, Tish Hyman and The Lox. Among the many tracks to dig through, the duo definitely shines brightest on tracks like “Load My Gun”, “Rare Breed” and “Don’t Cross Me”. Check out the project in its entirety above and let us know what you think. Did the collaboration between the New York lyricists live up to the hype?
