
Two months after the song’s release, Harlem’s own Dave East has shared the visuals for “King Loc.” Directed by Crowned YB, the video features archival footage from Dave East’s Survival Tour and behind the scenes video of Dave East and Kiing Shooter.
“When you was on the run, ain’t take no photos/I went to see you in Pennsylvania, you pulled up dolo/You had a fiend acting like a Uber/I said ‘That’s my n*gga, Shooter’/We was low though/Hate Me Now drop, we doing promo/I was drinking lean and you were telling me to slow down,” Dave East raps.
Kiing Shooter passed away in May after being hospitalized for medical complications. The New York artist rose to prominence alongside Dave East. He would eventually strike a deal with Mass Appeal’s Street Dream Records. He was 24-years-old at the time of his passing.
