
Dave East was scheduled to appear at Icon Nightclub in Boston this Friday, but the event was cancelled according to the rapper. East took to social media to let fans know that his appearance was cancelled because of alleged death threats. A source close to the situation has indicated that the call came from a prank caller. Icon Nightclub has neither confirmed or denied these reports.
He took to Instagram to let fans to explain things further. He wrote, “The club owner to Icon in Boston said he got 2 anonymous phone calls that they was gone shoot me tonight lol.”
Later, he posted, “So they ain’t let me in the club. I know one thing, if a n*gga gone do that he ain’t calling the club telling them. Sorry to whoever came out to see me and to the owner of Icon u a bozo.”
Dave East is currently on tour celebrating the release of his debut album, Survival. The project featured twenty songs and appearances from Nas, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Gunna, Lil’ Baby and many more.
Moving forward, he’ll make stops in Dublin, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam and many more cities. He’ll end the year with a performance in his hometown of New York City at the PlayStation Theater on December 26th.
