Over the last two months, the Verzuz franchise has had its ups and downs. From the Bay Area celebration that featured E-40 and Too $hort to the rescheduling of Keyshia Cole and Ashanti’s battle, fans have been on a wild ride. This month, the Verzuz franchise could take its next turn.
After many people spent the day with their loved ones, D’Angelo capped off Valentine’s Day by teasing the next Verzuz battle. Live from the Apollo Theater, the legendary singer-songwriter will take the stage for a battle with a few surprise guests. As described, it appears that it will be more of a concert than a battle, which is just fine with fans.
The introduction of a live concert format is the next step in the evolution of the Veruz franchise. D’Angelo is the best to bring it all together. The event is scheduled to take place on February 27 at 8 p.m. ET in the iconic Appollo Theater.
