Damian Lillard is the star of the Portland Trail Blazers and also the most forgotten about star in the NBA. He’s been left off the NBA All-Star team multiple times, left off Team USA Olympic teams for years and coming into the 2015-16 campaign, his Blazers team was expected to be one of the bottomfeeders in the NBA’s Western Conference.
So yea, you could say Lillard has a slight chip on his shoulder. Instead of taking his frustrations out on another player on the court, Dame has decided to grab a mic and drop some fire on a track. He came out of nowhere and dropped bars on the ‘Sway in the Morning’ show with a freestyle over the ‘Dead Presidents’ instrumental. Then he went in on his track ‘They Sleep‘ produced by Jahlil Beats going at all of his doubters and he hit iTunes with his first single ‘Bigger Than Us‘ which debuted on Martin Luther King Day this year.
Just about a week after his Blazers were eliminated in the 2016 NBA Playoffs by the Golden State Warriors, Dame is back on the mic. In his first 2016 installment of his ‘#MusicMondays’, Lillard gets on another Jahlil Beats produced track and spits straight fire for everyone to enjoy accompanied by V.I.P. and Bozzle for the freestyle called ‘Talk to ‘Em’. And yes, it is crazy good.
