VIDEO: Damian Lillard Speaks About Being Named To All-Star Team
Damian Lillard is now an All-Star for the Western Conference in the 2015 NBA All-Star Game. He of course wasn’t originally selected, Lillard is the replacement for the LA Clippers’ Blake Griffin who has to have surgery due to a staph infection. He’ll be a reserve on Steve Kerr’s sideline, and with Griffin out, Kevin Durant will likely be named the starter.
Lillard spoke out about his original snubbing from this year’s All-Star Game, and subsequently dropped out of the Skills Challenge. Here he comes off as just happy to be able to participate and probably jgives the answers he’s supposed to give.
Might Lillard try to snap and go for an MVP?
This might be a good release for Lillard as he hasn’t played particularly well since being open about his snubbing from the ASG. Now he can relax, let that off of his shoulders, and more importantly, try to make a lasting impact on the game this Sunday.
