It’s taken a long time to get to this moment, but we’re here. After a successful launch of the Creed franchise back in 2015, the sequel will hit theaters this year on Thanksgiving. Yesterday, MGM and Warner Bros. have came together to give fans what they had been waiting for. Beginning with the official poster for the film, fans get to see Michael “Adonis Creed” B. Jordan looking as focused as ever as he looks to control the light heavyweight division. In addition, MGM and Warner Bros. came together to release the synopsis for the film.
The synopsis explains, “Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.”
Today, Michael B. Jordan capped off what has been an incredible twenty-four hour run for fans of film franchise. This morning, the New Jersey native woke up bright and early to reveal the first trailer for the upcoming film. Beginning with Adonis Creed being knocked to canvas and waking up in the hospital, the trailer for Creed II delivers all of the drama and cliff hangers that will make you head to theater this November. Make sure you get your tickets for Thanksgiving!
