Forbes released their annual pro sports franchise valuations, determining the 50 most valuable teams in the world across all sports. In a truly shocking upset that no one could’ve seen, the Dallas Cowboys have been deemed as the most valuable franchise in the world, raking in a $5 billion valuation. This marks Jerry Jones’ ball club’s 4th straight year at the top of the Forbes valuation, a status befitting their gaudy America’s Team moniker. Despite the lack of championships this century, the Cowboys continue to be the biggest draw in the league and the most marketable franchise in the NFL and the world.
According to Forbes, NFL franchises continue to dominate the top 50 list, with more than half of the list being comprised of NFL teams. The New England Patriots, owned by Robert Kraft, and the New York Giants are the only other NFL franchises in the top ten, coming in at number seven worth $3.8 billion and number ten worth $3.3 billion.
