Things have wrapped up at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Tonight, ESPN’s Michael Wilbon led his team to a fifteen-point, 62-47, win during the 2020 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Team Wilbon was helped out by a surprise addition of Horace Grant along with Famous Los dropping nearly thirty points. However, no one’s contributions were more important than those of Common.
Chicago native, Common, has walked away from the United Center with 2020 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP honors. During tonight’s game, Common was an all-around contributor. He finished with 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.

In many ways, Common’s MVP win was poetic. The GRAMMY award winning artist was once a ball boy for Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls as a kid. In addition, he payed homage to the late Chicago high school basketball star, Benji Wilson, by wearing his number.
Common won’t end his 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend run tonight. He’s also slotted to join Chance The Rapper on stage at the United Center during the 2020 NBA All-Star Game halftime show.
