
Change is coming to Cleveland. MLB.com‘s Mandy Bell has reported that the Cleveland baseball team will formally change its name to the Guardians on Friday. The name change will involve rebranding on social media and in the team’s official store.
To prepare for this change, Cleveland’s team store at Progressive Field will be closed on Thursday before reopening at 9 a.m. on Friday with new merchandise. On November 23, Cleveland Guardians merchandise will also be available at various northeast Ohio retail locations.
Adding to the rebranding event, Cleveland will host fans at an in-person event on Friday as well. Fans will be treated to treats and gifts from the franchise.
For those who cannot be in attendance, Cleveland Guardians merchandise will also be available at 9 a.m. on Friday via MLBshop.com
